Taken in Victorian or Edwardian times it showsChurch Road leading down
from Green Street . Looking down to St.Marys Church and Thames
Street. On the right likewise this road leads down to, or up from Thames Street
as it is nowadays a one way system. Out of sight on the left of the picture there are
still a row of small cottages where I believe the Cain family lived at one time.
A member of the Clark family lived in Church Road opposite the Church and
near to the Vicarage in 1901. Just one of many Clarkes who were spread
along Thames Street - a ocnsiderable presence in Sunbury.
